What we keep, and who can see it.
This site is for our wedding. We collect as little as we can, we don't use advertising trackers, and we don't take payment here.
What we collect
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile photo.
- If you RSVP: who is coming to which event, the names of any guests you bring, any dietary needs you tell us about, and an email or note only if you choose to leave one.
- If you share photos: the photos, any caption, and the time each was taken so the gallery stays in order. Your phone shrinks each photo before it uploads, and every copy we keep has its location and other camera details removed. Likes, comments, and anything you report are saved with your account.
- If you use the lost-link form: your message and the email or phone you give us.
- When a household opens its invitation: the first time, the latest time, and how many times. We use that to see who still needs a reminder. We don't keep a list of IP addresses.
Who can see it
- The story, travel, questions, registry, and this page are public.
- Event times and addresses are only for the household on that invitation, and for accounts linked to it. Abby and Nigel can see the guest list and every event.
- Photos are only for invited guests and verified accounts, who can view and download them. They see you by your first name. The bridal party can hide anything that shouldn't be there, and a hidden photo stops loading straight away.
- Messages from the lost-link form come to Abby and Nigel.
Cookies
A cookie remembers an opened invitation on this device, and another keeps you signed in. A third remembers if you dismissed an announcement. They aren't used for ads.
Deleting your account and photos
If you're signed in, the account page lists your photos, and you can delete any of them. You can also delete your comments where you posted them. Deleting your account removes your profile, every photo you shared (including the stored files), and your comments and likes, then signs you out. Copies someone already downloaded can't be recalled. You can change your RSVP from your invitation link until the RSVP deadline. After that, or to remove something you can't delete yourself, use the lost-link page and tell us how to reach you.
